![]() ![]() Nintendo unveiled a portion of its 2000 Nintendo 64 software line-up today and, lo and behold, the friendly squirrel seems to be back on schedule for a holiday release. With almost a year and no mention of Conker, many in the industry began speculating that the game was privately cancelled. Not long after, rumors surfaced that Rare had gone back to the drawing board with the squirrel and that was the last we heard of it. ![]() But the title fell under criticism for being too cute and too much like the bear/bird duo to really stand out. ![]() A year later the game received a name change to Twelve Tales: Conker 64. Two years ago Rare announced Conker's Quest, a 3D platformer in the style of Banjo-Kazooie, for Nintendo 64.
